Couple 'desperate' for CCTV help after luxury caravan is stolen on Hayling Island

Stephen Johnson and Sandy Rose, from Bedhampton, had their luxurious caravan, a Hobby 645, stolen from a motorhome park on Hayling Island on May 20.
Despite reporting the incident to the police, information about the caravan’s whereabouts have not been forthcoming, and the couple are determined to track it down.

Hide AdSandy, who also works as a carer, said: ‘From CCTV at the boatyard we’ve seen there was a van that came in – they jumped out and stole the caravan.
‘Since then, there has been absolutely no trace of it and we’re absolutely devastated.
‘We’ve had the caravan for four and a half years, so it meant a lot to us.’
Following the incident, Sandy shared the footage they had on social media.
This was subsequently shared more than 3,000 times.

Hide AdThe couple’s caravan is spacious, with a modern white decor and tinted windows.
Sandy, 53, said: ‘Stephen used it as his home for about 10 months.
‘We had our dog’s running trophy in there, pictures of Stephen’s parents and other things of sentimental value – it’s gutting to lose stuff like that.
‘Sadly we haven't had any answers yet, and with every passing day the situation becomes more bleak.

Hampshire Constabulary is still looking into the incident – and is asking locals to keep their eyes peeled for the vehicle.
A spokeswoman for the police force said: ‘This theft was reported to us online.
‘The caravan, a Hobby 645 with smoked windows, was stolen from a secure compound in Mill Rythe Lane between 12pm and 7pm on May 20.
