He was jailed for 14 days as he confronted a house mate with a large carving knife and is a serving prisoner.

n Eugene Boland, 43, of Woodbind Walk, Locks Heath, admitted theft from a Co-op in Fareham on November 21 last year.

He also admitted breaching a conditional discharge received for a previous four thefts and one going equipped for theft.

He was handed a community order with 80 hours unpaid work to complete and must pay a £60 victim surcharge.

n Darryl Chantrey, 51, of Rydens Way, Woking, admitted drink-driving on the A3 at Waterlooville on July 16.

He was driving a yellow Renault van when he was caught.

n Stuart Jenkins, 53, of Gordon Road, Fareham, admitted drink-driving.

He was caught in West Street, Fareham, driving a black Ford Focus on July 18.

A test revealed he had 75 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, more than double the 35mg legal limit.
