n Christopher Milton, 36, of Wych Lane, Bridgemary, admitted two counts of assault in Warwick Crescent, Portsmouth, on May 5. He was jailed for 56 days.

Milton admitted breaching a community order given for theft, two assaults and failing to surrender.

n Marcus Eddins, 31, of Oriel Road, Portsmouth, admitted criminal damage to a drawer in Portsmouth on May 9.

Eddins received a 12-month conditional discharge. He must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.

n Benjamin Shawyer, 34, of Cabot Close, Locks Heath, admitted theft from Co-op on November 21 last year.

He stole alcohol, cosmetics, juice and meat worth £70.

Magistrates imposed a six-month conditional discharge with £35 compensation to pay.

He must also pay a £15 victim surcharge.

n Wayne Dunn, 38, of West Ways, Farlington, admitted criminal damage to a door to the value of £100.

n Darren Barter, 43, of no fixed address, was jailed for 12 weeks.

He admitted breaching a restraining order imposed just last month.

He twice entered an address in Gritanwood Road, Portsmouth, which he was banned from.

Barter admitted breaching the restraining order twice.

He admitted breaching a previous suspended sentence for harassment and was jailed for 12 weeks in total.

n Stephen Morton, 39, of Cornwallis Crescent, Portsmouth, admitted five thefts.

He was jailed for 168 days as the items were worth more than £1,000 and he has 63 previous convictions.

He stole fragrance from Boots on April 19 in Portsmouth.

He also took a steam cleaner and equipment worth £225 from Wilkinsons on May 18.

On June 14 in Portsmouth he stole clothes and shoes worth £278.

And on June 17 he stole Jack Daniels whisky worth £154 from Tesco in Portsmouth.

n John Coffey, 36, of Queens Road, Liphook, was found guilty of an assault by beating against a woman in Portsmouth on May 29.

He was given a community order, together with 15 days of rehabilitation activities.

No compensation was ordered because of the defendant’s personal and family circumstances.

His plea was taken in account.
