Driver, 74, banned after being caught over the limit

A PENSIONER has been banned from driving after being caught over the limit.

Sylvia Brietzke, 74, pleaded guilty to drink-driving when she appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court.

She was stopped in London Road, Waterlooville, on April 24.

A test revealed she had 57 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, more than the 35mg legal limit.

Brietzke, of Godwit Road, Milton, was fined £140 and banned from driving for 14 months. She must pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.
