Drone footage shows '100ft of waste' dumped in Hampshire country lane

Community and safety officer Gary McCulloch discovered a wheelbarrow, bricks, earth and even a wheelbarrow in Cott Street, Swanmore, on Saturday morning.

It was the third incident of fly-tipping reported to him that day.

He said: 'It was about 100ft long, there was earth, bricks, a washing machine, a wheelbarrow.

'They're obviously renovating a house and threw it on the back of a tipper truck and there we are.'

It is not clear who left the waste, and it may not have been the builders carrying out the work.

Mr McCulloch reported the incident to Winchester City Council.

In Hoe Road he also dealt with asbestos sheeting found in the street dumped. Metal gas bottles were also found in Swanmore.

He added: ‘It's been six or seven weeks since we've had any, then we've had three in one night.’
