The pet, a schnauzer, was feared to be snatched from Wallisdean Avenue, Fareham, on August 8.
A desperate appeal was launched, with the dog’s owners putting up posters around Fareham, and their Facebook page was shared hundreds of times.
The dog was returned safe and well to the family on January 21.
A post on the page said: ‘Lola is home, happy and well. We thank everyone for their support but some people now want more. Some of this is understandable but we are unable to give details.
