Flasher asks woman to take his photo then strips off at Portsmouth beach

A WOMAN has been left distressed after a man stripped off and performed an indecent act in front of her when she agreed to take his photo.

The 25-year-old had been approached while walking along at Eastney breach near Frazer Range at around 6pm on Thursday.

Police said the man approached her and asked her to take his photo.

She agreed but as she went to take the photograph he stripped off and performed an indecent act.

She walked off toward Fort Cumberland Road very distressed.

The woman was unhurt.

Sergeant Dean Juster said: ‘This is a rare occurrence in this area and has caused considerable distress to the victim.

‘We are anxious to speak to anyone who may have seen this man on the beach.

‘The victim believes there were a number of people in the vicinity who were fishing so we would like to hear from them as they may have seen something that can help us track this man down.’

The man is described as having tanned skin, aged between 20 and 25, around 5ft 6ins, slim but toned and had short spiky black hair.

He was wearing aviator-style sunglasses, a black jacket and trousers. He was also carrying a rucksack and a Samsung mobile phone.
