The cordon was now been removed but police officers are at the scene this morning.
Bunches of flowers and soft toys have been left by the kerb as a tribute to the youngster.
In a statement yesterday Detective Chief Inspector Simon Baker said: ‘I am making a direct appeal to [the child’s mother] to get in touch with us. I know this must be a very distressing time for you, but I want to make sure you are getting the right help and care.

DCI Baker added: ’Anyone who contacts us can speak with us in complete confidence. Our priority now is to ensure the mother of this child receives the assistance she requires.’
