Free community day back at football club

FOOTBALL fans can get their hands on free tickets thanks to sponsorship from a telecommunications company.

A community day will be held at Gosport Borough FC’s Aerial Direct Stadium on Saturday, November 19 to raise money for charity.

Gosport’s National League South clash with Concord Rangers will be free to attend, with fundraising collections being made on the day.

The Aerial Direct Community Day was first held last year and was a great success.

The club’s admin manager Natasha Hook said: ‘The football club are looking to beat their highest attendance record, which was 4,770, a match between Gosport and Pegasus in the 1953 FA Amateur Cup.

‘The aim of the event is to raise money for the charity Rays of Sunshine, a children’s charity with the purpose of brightening the lives of seriously-ill children aged three to 18 by granting wishes and organising large scale events. All proceeds from the event go to the charity, collections will be taking place on the gate.’

Tickets are free of charge and available from aerialdirectcommunityday.eventbrite.co.uk.

Gates for the match open at 1pm and kick-off is at 3pm.
