Gay community in Hampshire warned to be alert not alarmed

POLICE have said there is no threat to the gay community after a massacre at a nightclub in Amercia.

Hampshire police held a minute’s silence yesterday after the shootings in Orlando at the weekend.

Sgt Kirsten Troman from Hampshire Constabulary’s Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Resource Group said: ‘There is no information to suggest an immediate threat to our LGB&T communities across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. We’re advising all our communities locally to be alert but not alarmed.’
