Gosport and Park Gate women among six charged with offences over smuggling contraband into prison

TWO women from the area have been charged after an investigation into contraband being smuggled into Winchester prison.

Rhonda Pack, 20, of Greenway Road, in Gosport, was charged with conspiracy to convey mobile telephones and steroids, a Class C drug, into the prison on January 11.

Connie Rooke, 25, of Park Mews, in Park Gate, was charged with entering into an arrangement to facilitate the acquisition of criminal property.

Both appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court with four other people.

Hampshire Constabulary’s serious and organised crime unit led the investigation.
