Gosport man arrested after police find drugs in vehicle

A MAN has been arrested after police found dangerous drugs in a vehicle last night.

On the evening of January 3, police officers stopped a vehicle in Salt Meat Lane, Gosport, near Clarence Marina.

Searching the vehicle, officers found class A and B drugs, as well as cash, inside.

A 30-year-old man from Gosport has been arrested.

Posting on Facebook, Gosport Police said: ‘Gosport NPT officers, assisted by our response and patrol colleagues, arrested a 30-year-old Gosport male on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs.

‘Inside the vehicle were Class A and Class B drugs, as well as a large quantity of cash.

‘The male remains in custody at this time.’

The exact nature of the drugs inside the vehicle are not known at this time.
