Magistrates imposed a nine-month conditional discharge with £50 compensation and a £15 victim surcharge.

n Michael Herne, 46, of Winstanley Road, Portsmouth, admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour or disorderly behaviour.

He was given a six-month conditional discharge for the April 16 offence in Surrey Street, Portsmouth.

He must pay a £20 victim surcharge.

n Ricky Hobbins, 29, of Victoria Street, Gosport, admitted possessing a class C drug, diazepam.

He was handed a three-month conditional discharge for the offence on February 27 in Portsmouth.

Hobbins must pay a £15 victim surcharge.

n Scott Legg, 36, of Monmouth Road, North End, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour causing fear of or provoking violence.

He committed the offence in Goldsmith Avenue, Southsea, on April 16 and was fined £500 by magistrates.

He must pay a £50 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.

n Lorne Martin, 46, of Livesay Gardens, Milton, admitted possessing cannabis, a class B drug.

He was fined £50 for the offence committed on February 25.

He must pay a £20 victim surcharge and £30 prosecution costs.

n Sophie Roney, 18, of Hanbidge Walk, Gosport, admitted assault by beating.

Magistrates handed her a six-month conditional discharge for the April 15 offence in Gosport.

She must pay a £20 victim surcharge.

n Jamie Murray, 21, care of Crombie Close, Waterlooville, admitted failing to comply with supervision requirements after being released from prison.

He was jailed for seven days by magistrates as he has no home and has an ‘abysmal record’.

Murray failed on three dates to go to office appointments with probation.

n Andrew Baker, 47, of Adames Road, Kingston, was found guilty in his absence of entering a train to travel without a valid ticket.

He was fined £220 after getting on the train at Hilsea station in Portsmouth on November 30 last year.

Baker must pay £2.70 compensation and a £22 victim surcharge.

He must pay £140 prosecution costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
