A test showed he had 44 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, more than the 35mcg legal limit. He was fined £550 and banned from driving for 12 months.
Connolly must pay a £55 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.

Hide Adn Jay Hawkins, 41, of Kenwood Road, Fareham, admitted being drunk and disorderly at the rear of Portsmouth Central Police Station on January 29.
He was given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge.
n Adam Law, 29 of Kent Road, Southsea, admitted possession of cannabis, a class A drug.
He was fined £400 for the January 16 offence committed in Southsea, and must pay a £40 victim surcharge and £85 prosecution costs.
