Jail for man, 40, who urinated in Portsmouth police cell

A MAN who urinated all over a police cell has been jailed for 16 weeks.

David Knipe, 40, of Princes Street, Buckland, admitted a string of crimes from last year at Portsmouth Magistrates' Court.

He admitted behaving in an indecent manner at a cell at the Eastern Investigation Centre in Portsmouth on November 24 last year.

He placed a mattress, pillow and blankets in the centre of the floor, urinated over them and on the walls and floor of his cell.

Knipe admitted having cannabis, a class B drug, on the day before. The drug must be forfeited and destroyed.

Knipe admitted assaulting a woman on November 23 and was ordered to pay £50 compensation.

He admitted provoking fear of violence on June 18 in Portsmouth, threatening to burn a woman's house down and harassing the same woman by loitering at her home three times between May and June,

He admitted causing the same woman harassment, alarm or distress on November 19 in Commercial Road.

He admitted three thefts at Wilko in Landport – sweets on November 9 and 11, and razor blades on November 5.
