Man arrested after 69-year-old woman is mugged in Portsmouth
Police have arrested a man after a 69-year-old woman was dragged to the ground and injured during an attempted robbery.
The woman managed to keep hold of her handbag but suffered cuts and grazes to her right shoulder after falling.
Police yesterday arrested a 24-year-old man, who has since been released from custody but who remains under investigation.Â
The incident happened in Havant Street in Portsea on Thursday at 1.15pm last week, and police made an appeal with CCTV in a bid to catch the perpetrator. Â
