Man tries to snatch handbag

A WOMAN was helped by passers-by when a would-be robber tried to grab her handbag in Havant.

The attempted robbery happened in Selboure Road, Havant, near Next and Sports Direct at about 4.20pm on Tuesday.

Police say the woman kept hold of the bag and was helped by members of the public. She was unhurt.
