Police probe after child plunges from zip wire in Hampshire

AN eight-year-old boy suffered serious injuries after falling from a zip wire.

The child was using the zip wire at Dean Park in Winchester when he fell onto the ground, hitting his head.

He sustained serious injuries and was taken to Southampton General Hospital.

The incident happened at around 5pm on March 25 and the child has since been released from medical care.

Police officers investigating the incident are appealing to any witnesses who were in the park that afternoon and saw the boy fall from the zip wire.
