Police warn the public not to approach man with Portsmouth links wanted over aggravated burglary

POLICE have warned the public not to approach a man they are hunting for an aggravated burglary with connections to Portsmouth.

Carl Seymour, 31, is wanted in connection with a burglary in Fair Oak, near Eastleigh, on November 12.

‘Seymour, who is from Southampton, has links to Portsmouth and Winchester. We believe that he is still residing in Hampshire at this time,’ a police spokesman said.

‘Officers have carried out extensive enquiries to locate him and we are now asking the public for assistance.’

Seymour is described as white, approximately 5ft 11ins, medium build, blue eyes and has a two inch scar on his right thumb.

He also has a number of tattoos, including ‘LEILA’ and two footprints on his left arm, a sleeve on his right arm, a symbol on the right side of his neck and an angel on his back.

Officers believe that he may have recently altered his appearance by shaving off his beard and dying his hair blonde.

‘If you have seen him, or know where he is, please do not approach him, but contact us,’ the spokesman added.
