Portsmouth teenagers charged over gunpoint robberies in city and Waterlooville

A 16-year-old-boy and a 17-year-old-boy, both from Portsmouth, have been charged following the robberies earlier this week.
Police said a man was assaulted and his black Mercedes C250 stolen in Gruneisen Road, Stamshaw, after being threatened by what he believed was a handgun at around 6.30pm on Wednesday.

Hide AdOfficers then received reports of a man getting out of the same Mercedes and robbing a young man with a suspected handgun in Crookhorn Lane, in Purbrook, Waterlooville, just before 9pm.
Armed police were dispatched, with efforts to detain the suspects ending with four arrests near Wicor Rec, in Portchester.
A 16-year-old boy from Portsmouth has now been charged with a string of offences, including robbery.
He is charged with driving dangerously and without insurance, and while disqualified, as well as failing to provide a specimen for analysis.

Hide AdHe also faces three charges of breaking/being likely to break bail conditions.
He appeared at Portsmouth Magistrates today and has been remanded in youth custody, according to a spokeswoman from Hampshire Constabulary.
Regarding the the 17-year-old, she said: ‘(He) has been charged with robbery, possession of a firearm while committing a schedule one offence, possession of a knife, blade or sharp pointed article in a public place, and possession of a controlled class B drug.’
An 18-year-old woman and 17-year-old girl, both from Portsmouth, have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
