Leaving his car, the alleged offender then began hurling abuse at the 26-year-old, before he kicked and punched Mr Veck’s van, ripping off the vehicle’s wing mirror.
Mr Veck said: ‘I was a bit shaky. I was scared. He was just completely off the rails.
‘The whole thing felt like it took an hour – it felt like forever. But it was probably only five to ten minutes.
‘He did this handbrake turn in the road and blocked it off.

‘It’s not something anyone I know would do. It was crazy.’
Mr Veck, who had been on his way to work in London, said he suffers from sciatica, a nerve condition that leaves him in constant pain and has affected his confidence.
‘I’m not the man that I once was,’ he said. ‘I have sciatica. It affects the whole of the right side of my body. Although I’m a big chap I don’t feel confident I could defend myself.’
Police are now investigating the incident and are appealing for witnesses.
