Teenage cyclist injured in hit-and-run crash while delivering pizza

A TEENAGE girl suffered injuries after being hit by a car while out delivering pizza on a push bike.

The Fareham teenager had been cycling on the Red Lion roundabout in Stubbington at 8.20pm last night when she was hit.

A sliver car coming from Gosport '“ with the girl travelling from Stubbington '“ hit her and then the driver drove off.

A Hampshire police spokeswoman said: '˜The female cyclist, who is from Fareham, was delivering pizza at the time.

'˜She had travelled from Stubbington Village and was on the roundabout when her bicycle came into contact with a silver estate car which had approached from the Gosport direction.

'˜The girl fell from her bike into the road but thankfully sustained only minor injuries.
