Victim in '˜truly frightening case' praised by charity

THE brave victim of Roger Seath's would-be abduction has been praised.

Child cruelty charity the NSPCC said the girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, stopped him from carrying out his true aim.

The spokeswoman said: ‘It is every parent’s nightmare that their child could be taken by someone who intends to harm them so this is a truly frightening case.

‘Seath was prevented from carrying out his aim thanks to the bravery of his victim and the swift actions of passers-by who rushed to help her.

‘It is entirely right that Seath is now behind bars and we hope that the young victim has received support to recover from her ordeal.’
