'˜We stand shoulder to shoulder with force'

NEARLY £3,000 has been donated to a memorial fund set up after a police officer was killed in a terror attack.

PC Keith Palmer died in the Westminster attack last Wednesday, in which three members of the public died.

Khalid Masood was shot dead by police after fatally stabbing PC Palmer.

Thousands were raised when the Metropolitan Police Federation set up a fundraising page for his family.

Hampshire Police Federation chairman John Apter said: ‘On your behalf Hampshire Police Federation has donated £1 for every one of our members, this is a total of £2,797 which I know has been greatly appreciated by the (Met federation).’

He added: ‘Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends and colleagues of Keith and those other innocent victims who were killed or injured in this cowardly attack.

‘We stand shoulder to shoulder with the Metropolitan Police Service; the police family stands strong and united.’
