Woman's flat fall death in Southsea '˜not suspicious'

THE death of a woman who fell from a third-storey window is no longer being treated as suspicious, police said.

A man, 46, from Southsea, had been arrested on suspicion of the murder of Lisa Bacon, 40, who died after falling from a window of a third-floor flat in Clarendon Court, Clarendon Road, Southsea, at about 9.40am on February 12.

But now Hampshire police said he has been released and faces no further action.

‘We are preparing a file for the coroner,’ a police spokeswoman said.

‘The 46-year-old man from Southsea, who was arrested on suspicion of murder, has been released with no further action to be taken.’

Friend Carinna Cox, 40, had paid tribute to Ms Bacon.

She said: ‘She was a very kindhearted lady who had a great sense of humour and a heart of gold.’
