AN EVENT at the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth gave organisations from across the region the chance to find out more about the Armed Forces Covenant.

The Armed Forces Covenant is a commitment to those who serve and who have served that they will not face disadvantage and will be treated fairly.

More than 30 organisations attended the event on Friday evening, with Portsmouth City Council’s armed forces champion Cllr Frank Jonas welcoming attendees from defence and local businesses.

The council is hoping to embed the Armed Forces Covenant across the Solent region.
