'˜Our training just kicked in like instinct; everyone just did what they were supposed to do and we got him out as quickly as we could.'

The incident, which took place at 3.15pm yesterday, was over in a matter of moments as the man was pulled to safety.

Mr Hill said: '˜It was all sorted within three minutes, but it felt more like 15.

'˜The man himself was okay actually, but we called the ambulance as we always do in situations like this, just as a precaution.

'˜He then came back later on in the day and seemed pretty healthy '“  we even managed to get his dingy back.'
