This will happen where the new junction for the northern access route to the Havant Thicket Reservoir site is being put in.
Engineers are working 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to finish the project.
Ruari Maybank, project director for Havant Thicket Reservoir, said: ‘We are very sorry for this delay and any inconvenience it may cause local road users.

The northern access route to the site will be used by construction vehicles while the reservoir is being built.
This is so the majority of traffic is diverted away from residential areas in Havant and Rowlands Castle.
It will also become the main access point for visitors from outside the local area to Havant Thicket Reservoir.
The planned completion of the reservoir is 2019.
Residents have raised concerns about the project.
