Family fun festival with live music and dog show returns

THE stage is set for the return of an annual party at a Gosport park.

ParkFest, organised by The Friends of Leesland Park, will be taking place on Saturday, September 22 at Leesland Park in Whitworth Close.

The event, running from 1pm until 10pm, is in the final stages of being put together and will feature bargain stalls, children’s entertainment and live music from the likes of Mista Messy, musicians from St Vincent College and the Rose and Thistle Pipe Band.

Philip Sandall, secretary for The Friends of Leesland Park, said: ‘Our planned programme featuring a rich mix of stalls, children’s activities and entertainment and an exciting live music programme that will run throughout the day and into the evening.

‘In addition to looking after our human visitors the event will also feature the popular ‘Paws in the Park’ dog show, just bring your best friend and register on the day.’

Admission to ParkFest and Paws in the Park is free, with access to the park from all around the area.
