FESTIVAL OF SPEED: Unique car at auction is a '˜piece of art'
The exclusive vehicle, designed by illustrious artist Sir Peter Blake, was donated by Bentley to the Care2Save Charitable Trust and all proceeds raised by its sale will go to the charity.
Sholto Gilbertson, a director of Bonhams, said: “It’s a unique piece and ultimately will become a piece of art in the contemporary field.”

Speaking earlier this year about the project, Sir Peter Blake said: “I am proud to have been involved with transforming this beautiful car, and have enormous admiration for the people at Bentley who brought my design into being, to produce this one-off lovely car.”
Other highlights in the auction, which sees approximately 90 cars and 190 items of memorabilia, include one of only 48 long-nose Ferrari 275s built in right-hand drive.
Sholto added: “The Festival of Speed is the highlight sale for Bonhams over the course of the year.”
