Student Aisla Brims said: ‘We are very excited to be holding this exhibition at Action Stations. I think some people get put off by the words fine art – I certainly didn’t understand it at first.

‘But fine art covers everything and it’s about challenging how people see the world.

‘There will be a wide range of artistic genres on show and it promises to be an interesting and exciting show.’

Kerry Jarvie, head of attractions for the Portsmouth Naval Base Property Trust, said: ‘With its history and atmosphere, Action Stations is a unique location and attraction, so we’re delighted to be holding this exhibition to celebrate fine art.’
