Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage said she was impressed by how much the group has grown since the idea was first pitched to her.
She said: ‘I always enjoy catching up with the lovely chaps at the Gosport Men’s Shed and was thrilled to see their fantastic extension which they have worked so hard for.
‘I feel a closeness to this group as I was at their very first meeting and have maintained a close friendship with them.’

It was originally started to help men suffering from depression or isolation. But now, anyone can join.
Member Clyde Campouser added: ‘When we first started a lot of people were recommended to us from doctors.
‘But now we have members from all walks of life who just want something to do.’
