Legacy of former Pompey and Waterlooville player lives on

THE legacy of a popular sportsman will live on at an inaugural charity event this weekend.

A total of 88 golfers will take part in The MNDA Kim Manns Invitational at Goodwood Golf Course on Saturday.

Kim, a former Pompey and Waterlooville FC player, died last year at the age of 61 from motor neurone disease.

Kim helped to raise more than £30,000 for MND research and was the leader in getting Portsmouth City Council to sign a charter pledging to support MND patients.

The event has been organised by family and friends.
