Gosport MP Caroline Dinenage met residents of the 44-bed care home and sheltered flats in Gosport.

She said: '˜I've had the opportunity to see the wide range of residential care offered by Thorngate, from the sheltered flats which enable residents to retain their independence, but with great support through to the residential care in Russell Churcher Court.

'˜It is these kind of developments which greatly encourage social interaction and combat loneliness and isolation.'
