PORTSMOUTH City Council has been praised for its service provision for children’s social care.
A letter from MP Parliamentary under-secretary of state for children and families, Nadhim Zahawi, congratulated the council following their ‘good’ judgement in a recent Ofsted report.
The letter commended the senior leadership team and the high quality services focused on the needs of children.
Council leader, Gerald Vernon Jackson, said: ‘It’s gratifying to receive this letter. I’d like to thank all our staff for the commitment and dedication they show every day. We are committed to build on this latest report to keep improving services for children in the city.’
