A night of fashion, glitz and glamour for Purbrook hospice

A HAIRDRESSING salon is marking 30 years in business with an evening of glitz and glamour '“ raising money for charity.

Sophie Brenton, owner of The Salon, in Clanfield, will be supporting The Rowans Hospice and celebrating the Queen’s 90th birthday with the hair and fashion show at Horndean Technology College.

Women’s hairstyles and fashions will be paraded – from the 1920s to the present day.

There will be a catwalk with clothing supplied by Vintage and Vogue Boutique, in Petersfield

High street fashion will be supplied by Colours Fundraising Fashion Shows – with 50 per cent off on the night.

And staff from The Salon will be putting together vintage hairdos.

The Rowans Hospice Trading Company will provide the outfits for the proms and wedding dress finale.

Sophie said: ‘We are really excited about putting on this event for the charity,

‘It’s a great opportunity for us to showcase the talents of The Salon team and at the same time support a worthy cause which is very close to our hearts.’

Eliza Dunn, the community and events fundraiser at The Rowans, in Purbrook, said: ‘This event is really exciting and we’re very grateful that The Salon has chosen to support us.

‘We’re delighted that some of our staff volunteered to be models in the fashion show and hope that everyone enjoys the evening and it raises vital funds to provide local hospice care in our community.’

The hair and fashion show takes place on Saturday, September 24 from 6pm.

Tickets are £10 each and there is a champagne reception and goodie bag for all guests.

There will be refreshments, image consultants and craft stalls.

Students from the school’s hairdressing course will run a pop up vintage hair stall.
