5. Michelle Magorian
Author Michelle Magorian, who was born in Southsea, is best known for her first novel, Goodnight Mister Tom. 6. Rachel Lowe MBE
Rachel Lowe MBE is a board game developer and entrepreneur. She appeared on the hit BBC show Dragon's Den in 2004, and although she failed to secure investment, her idea for the board game Destination was launched at Hamleys in 2004 and shifted more units than Monopoly in its first year. More than 20 versions of the game have since been published and Rachel continues to inspire with new ventures, including The Portsmouth Puzzle. Photo: Contributed

7. Dr Alexzandra Hildred
Dr Alexzandra Hildred is the Head of Research and Curator of Ordnance and Human Remains at the Mary Rose Museum in Portsmouth Historic Dockyard. She joined the project to research and raise the Mary Rose as a graduate archaeologist in 1979, and provided a vital link between its diving team and the world's media to explain what was happening as the Tudor warship was raised from the Solent in 1982. 8. Amanda Lamb
