All those who used to say “I’ll do that when I get time” have been called into action by the government’s strict measures – and as this gallery shows, they’ve gone DIY mad.
We asked our readers to show us some of the DIY projects they’ve been working on during lockdown.

15. Hayley Towers from Knowle Village, sent these pictures in and said "So my mum tagged me in the post on fb for DIY your proud of.. Although I am a key worker and single mum, I have become a groundworker, bricklayer, laid slabs and grass and even built a wall for the raised area at the back. I'm still not finished yet as I have to wait to save a little bit to do the patio on the back area, I've ordered paint to refresh the wall and the wall I've built. It may have taken me 2 years to start but I'm finally giving my 3 children the garden they deserve. Hands up to the people who do this daily But I've done this all on own #girlpower, so yes I'm very proud I've done this all by myself."
Key worker and single mum, Kayley Towers from Knowle, said #GirlPower is to thank for giving her the inspiration for a garden her three children can enjoy in lockdown. Photo: #GirlPower!
