Bench will be a ‘thoughtful and fitting tribute’ to King Charles III
The bench, located at Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Park at Daedalus, a short walk from Broom Way car park, will be unveiled at 2pm next Wednesday, November 1.
The Mayor of Fareham, Councillor Fred Birkett, will be in attendance to make a speech and unveil a plaque beside the bench.

Hide AdDesigned by Nigel Searle and created by artisan blacksmiths Pete Clutterbuck, John Duffield and Patrick Mannerings, the bench incorporates elements that hold significance for King Charles III and the Royal Family.
Daffodils, thistle, rose and shamrocks represent the four nations, while three delphiniums, The King’s favourite flower, represent the ‘third’ in King Charles III.
Oak leaves reference the centuries-old tradition of using English Oak in manufacture and construction, and birds amongst the leaves are representative of The King’s position as patron for the RSPB, as well as his love of the countryside.
The arch that forms the back of the seat refers to Charles’ love of architecture, with the curved seat representing the landscape.
