Couple in their 70s taken to hospital after crash on Hayling Island

A COUPLE in their 70s and a woman in her 60s were taken to hospital after a crash on Hayling Island yesterday.

South Central Ambulance Service and fire crews from Hayling Island, Havant and Cosham were mobilised to the incident in Church Road, Hayling Island, at 11.09am on Sunday.

The woman in her 60s and the couple, a man and woman, were supported by firefighters to exit the two affected vehicles.

Both drivers and the passenger were found breathing and conscious at the scene, according to a spokeswoman from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service.

She added: ‘They were all transferred to hospital by Scas.’

The scene was made safe and fire crews left the area at 12.30pm.
