Mark said he has spoken to many businesses about how they have been affected by the pandemic and he urged firms of all sizes, particularly smaller businesses, to consider digital marketing.

He said that research conducted by his firm found that 72 per cent of companies kept their business afloat during the pandemic by investing in marketing.

And that even if a local business is recommended by a friend, customers will still check out the business online before they contact them, with 78 per cent of local searches resulting in offline purchases.

He also said that digital marketing is not just for large companies, as his business has been using its experience to help smaller firms, which has seen great success.

Mark said: ‘We have been taking what we have learnt over the past 15 years working with corporate clients with bigger budgets and scaling that down to small local businesses, and packaging that in a really neat way for them. The reaction has been really good and the results have been fantastic, which makes us happy.’

Tillison Consulting has created digital sales campaigns for household names such as Turtle Wax, Hildon Natural Mineral Water and Oxford University Press, plus more. For more go to tillison.co.uk/about/
