Due to lockdown, interviewing celebrities and musicians in the studio had to be stopped but the 38-year-old decided to launch a new series, ‘At Home with Hayley’.

She said: ‘I absolutely love talking to people and hearing their stories and then we play their favourite music. I loved my sofa chat show but obviously because of coronavirus we had to stop filming in a studio.

‘I wanted to carry on with the show and bring entertainment to people so we decided to do interviews over Skype.’

The series kicked off last week with Blue’s Antony Costa and this Tuesday will be Mark Read from Portsmouth, who is in British-Norwegian band A1.

The popular 90s band amassed over 8 millions record sales, 2 UK number 1s and a BRIT Award.

Hayley said: ‘It was so lovely to chat to Mark as he is local and hear about his career. I think what stood out to me is how talented he is at so much and on the show he plays the piano and sings as well.’

The presenter, who went to Neville Lovett School and Fareham College, started at community radio station Voice FM in 2017 before progressing to Shoreditch Radio, Drive time at Vibe 107.6 and then training at Heart.

She had a work placement at ITV, before her break presenting an 80s music show going out to thousands of homes on Saturday nights.

Hayley said: ‘I have always loved talking and I think when I was younger I wouldn’t have had the confidence to do radio and TV but now I am so determined to reach my goals.
