Motorcyclist, 20, dies in Chichester crash

A MOTORCYCLIST has died in a crash with a car in Chichester.

Sussex Police said the motorcyclist - a 20-year-old man from Dorchester in Dorset - collided with a grey Toyota Hilux on the A286 Birdham Road at 5.38pm yesterday evening.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his next of kin has been informed.

Both the Toyota and the motorcycle, a green Kawasaki, caught fire after the collision but the 27-year-old driver of the Toyota was uninjured.

A section of the road was closed until about midnight as collision investigations were carried out.

Police are urging anyone who saw what happened, or anyone who captured dash cam footage of either of the vehicles in the area around that time, to email [email protected] quoting Operation Nottinghill.
