Mums take on 24-hour three peaks challenge to raise money for three disabled children
The fundraising challenge has been organised by caring mum-of-three Kyla Smith, from Whiteley.
Her son Roman, six, is on the autistic spectrum and goes to Whiteley Primary School with six-year-old twins Reuben and Zachary Smith, who have cerebral palsy and other disabilities.

Kyla said: ‘It was my 30th birthday last year and I thought to myself that I hadn’t really done anything.
‘Roman goes to school with Reuben and Zachary and we are old friends of Maddison.
‘They are both such incredible families. I wanted to give something back to them.

‘And they are genuinely concerned about you and your day-to-day life.’
Kyla, who is married to Matt, 29, a financial adviser, from Whiteley, has set up a Facebook group called ‘Our 3 peaks adventure Happy Feet trekkers’ so the mums can share fitness tips and give each other motivation.
And Kyla has been getting some help from local business Diamond Quay hair salon, which will be holding a sponsored leg wax for Matt and a head shave with one of the mums.

Hide AdWhiteley’s On Form Personal Training is letting her join in with bootcamp classes and giving her advice, while her children – Roman, six, Kalli, nine, and Sienna, three – have been getting active to support the cause.
The group is planning on holding a charity event later in the year and a fun run to raise cash and awareness at Cams Alders Recreation Ground on Good Friday, March 25.
Kyla said: ‘They are both such inspirational families yet they go through so much so we want to raise as much as we can so they can have as much time as possible with their children.’
The mums will start their challenge – climbing Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in the Lake District, and Snowdon in Wales – on June 1.
