Portsmouth City Council says 2019 Portsmouth Glow Ride will not be rescheduled - but a summer event is planned

The Glow Ride would have seen participants illuminate their bikes and journey in unison along Southsea Seafront.
But Portsmouth City Council has today dismissed hopes it could be rescheduled for a date in 2020.

Hide AdThe authority said another event will go ahead in its place.
It said on Twitter: ‘Unfortunately due to the unpredictable winter weather we won't be rescheduling the 2019 Glow Ride.
‘A summer cycling event is planned and we will announce details closer to the time.
‘Follow our Pedal Portsmouth Facebook page or sign up to our mailing list.’

Hide AdThe Glow Ride previously began at midday, going on until 7pm with a host of food, drink, music and contests for participants to enjoy.
It was supposed to take place on Saturday, October 26, 2019.
