A Deep Blue spokesman said: ‘We want to do our bit towards improving the happiness of the nation by offering them free chips all day. Fish

and chips are a national favourite and a British institution and should be celebrated at every possible opportunity.

‘Simply visit your local Deep Blue on Monday and enjoy free regular chips with your fish in the comfort of one of our restaurants or to take away.’

- South Parade Pier, Southsea

- Portsmouth Clarence Esplenade

- Paulsgrove (Mother Kelly’s)
