Portsmouth pensioners raise hundreds for charity through car boot sales

A SERIES of car boot sales in Portsmouth, organised by two pensioners, have raised more than £300 for charity.

Joy Baldwin, 79, and Irene Kingham, 84, both from Copnor, have raised £350 for Enable Ability after holding five car boot sales.

Joy said: '˜The charity seemed really pleased when we handed over the cheque.

'˜It felt great to do something for a charity that is so close to our hearts '“ we know of the charity through a friend and wanted to do something positive for them.'
