Two crews from Southsea fire station were sent to the blaze in a garden in Victoria Road South at 9am. It sent smoke drifting across Albert Road.
Firefighters spent over an hour bringing the fire under control, according to crew manager Tom Davies.

He said: ‘The fire was in a private shed at the rear of the property.
‘The rear of the residential house backs onto the shops in Albert Road.
‘We had to check a shop for fire damage, but there wasn’t any.
‘The shed was 100 per cent damaged by the fire.
‘We have no idea what caused it at the moment.’
No one was injured by the fire, according to the crew manager.
