Taster day for retained firefighters of the future

West Sussex Fire and Rescue is staging its second ‘Have-a-Go Day’ on Saturday, June 24.

The event is a taster session for those interested in joining the fire service on a part-time basis.

There will be a chance to learn about the application process, try a hose run or ladder climb, and meet current retain firefighters.

The day is being held at Chichester fire station, in Northgate, from 10am to 3pm.

Attendees must be aged 17 or over.
