Jake Barker, 12, got the cut at The Green Room in Southsea on Wednesday as part of Macmillan Cancer Support’s Brave the Shave initiative.

His mother Terri Barber, 31, said: ‘We’ve lost a few family members in the past from cancer, and that really inspired Jake to take this on.’

‘The event went really well and luckily, Jake said he likes his new style.’

Jake said he was excited but nervous and really glad that everyone gave money.

He raised a total of £232.
